Front Office
Most tax firms have not updated their front office in twenty years. We build modern, fast, custom-built websites for tax and accounting practices, designed for how your firm actually works.
Who this is for
-
Solo and small firms whose current site is a Wix or Squarespace template that does not fit how a tax practice actually works.
-
Firms that bought a CPA-website-builder template and now have an off-the-shelf SEO problem and a brittle intake form.
-
Practices acquiring or rebranding and needing a real digital starting point in two weeks, not four months.
-
Owners who want a site that quietly does its job: takes calls, qualifies leads, and hands off to the workflow tool.
What's included
-
Three to five pages including Home, About, Services, and Contact, optionally one Service detail page.
-
Brand application on our proven website foundation. We pick the right tools for the job; you do not have to think about any of them.
-
Tax-firm-specific intake form with entity type, prior year preparer, and complexity flags. Submissions emailed to you.
-
Booking page that embeds your existing calendar provider (Calendly, TidyCal, or similar).
-
Client portal link integrated into navigation. TaxDome, Karbon, Canopy, or other.
-
Professional typography served from our servers for performance and privacy. No third-party font requests.
-
Privacy-first visitor analytics. No tracking pixels, no Google ads infrastructure.
-
Basic search engine optimization (meta tags, sitemap, social cards).
-
Training video walkthrough on how to update content yourself.
-
Twelve months of managed hosting on Roman Services infrastructure.
-
Fourteen days of post-launch support for bug fixes and minor adjustments.
What success looks like
-
Prospects can book a fit call from the home page in under thirty seconds.
-
Intake submissions land in your inbox structured the way you actually need them, not as a name and email blob.
-
The site is fast and mobile-friendly because it is custom-built, not retrofitted from a template.
-
You can update copy and publish content without calling us.
-
When a prospect Googles your firm, the site that comes up looks like a working tax practice, not a template.
Pricing
Engagements typically start at $2,000.
Front Office is a fixed-fee engagement starting at $2,000. Fifty percent deposit at signing, fifty percent at launch. Twelve months of managed hosting included. Add-ons (calculator widgets, booking qualifier flows, tax news feed, full-site copywriting, custom integrations, content migration) are priced separately and quoted before any work begins.
We do not gatekeep pricing behind a discovery call.
Process
- 01
Fit call
Thirty minutes. We confirm what your firm sells, who you serve, and which tools you use. We tell you whether Front Office is the right engagement or whether something else fits better.
- 02
Kickoff and content gathering
You get a one-page brand questionnaire and a content checklist. Submit logo, palette, photos, and answers within seven days of kickoff. We schedule a one-hour content interview to fill in anything missing.
- 03
Design and build
Days eight through twelve. We apply your brand, build the pages, wire the intake form and calendar embed, and integrate your portal link. One round of revisions is part of the package.
- 04
Review and launch
Days thirteen and fourteen. You review on staging. We push final fixes and launch. Site goes live, you get a training video and the keys to update content.
Why this is different from a CPA-website template
Most tax-firm websites you see are built on a template platform like Wix, Squarespace, or one of the CPA-specific subscription services. They look fine. They also do not actually fit how a tax firm works.
The intake form is a generic name-and-email blob that does not feed your process. The calendar booking, if there is one, is a clunky third-party embed that does not match the rest of the site. Pages load slowly because every template platform serves fonts, scripts, and trackers from a dozen third-party domains. SEO is a paid upsell.
Front Office is custom-built on the same foundation as romanservices.net. It is fast, it is mobile-friendly from the ground up, and it is engineered for what tax pros actually need: calendar booking, structured intake, a clean portal handoff, and a privacy posture that respects client confidentiality. We pick the right tools for the job and you do not have to think about any of them.
What you bring, what we bring
You bring the brand (logo, color preferences, photos), the copy direction (what your services are, who you serve, what makes your firm different), and the domain. We bring the build, the design system, the legal language, and the integrations.
If you do not have a logo or photography, we will tell you that on the fit call and recommend either commissioning them separately or using interim assets we can swap in later. We do not stretch scope to do logo design, full photography, or full-site copywriting inside Front Office, because compressing those into two weeks produces worse work. Those are available as add-ons or referrals.
What this is not
This is not an agency engagement. We do not run discovery workshops, we do not deliver brand books, and we do not produce monthly reports. Front Office is a productized build, scoped tightly so it can ship in two weeks at a fair price. If you need an agency, we can refer you to one. If you need this, we ship it.
What happens after twelve months
Hosting is included for twelve months. After that, you have two options. Continue managed hosting at a flat monthly rate and we keep the site running, deploy changes, and handle SSL and backups. Or take ownership of the source repository and migrate to your own infrastructure at no fee. The site is yours either way. We are not in the business of holding code hostage.
