About
Run by a working tax pro who spent twenty years building websites first.
Roman Services is run by Jeremy Roman. Every busy season Jeremy sits at the front desk of R Tax Services and files individual and small-business returns. He knows what 1040 night looks like at 11pm. He uses TaxDome, ClickUp, and ProConnect because he has had to, not because he read about them on Twitter.
Twenty years ago Jeremy founded and ran a web design company. He has been building production websites longer than most CPA-website agencies have existed. Roman Services is not his first time shipping a site for somebody.
His day job is professional services engineer for a web and analytics platform serving Fortune 50 financial services firms. He spends each day inside enterprise-grade web infrastructure: site performance, conversion tracking, integrations, scale. The patterns that work at that scale inform what we build at the small-firm scale.
Roman Services exists because those three jobs sharpen each other. The tax practice tells him what tax firms actually need from a website. The web design background tells him how to build it well. The enterprise integration work tells him which tools survive contact with reality and which ones collapse on launch day.
Most agencies that build CPA websites have never filed a return. Most tax-tech consultants have never shipped a production website. We have done both. We still do both. That combination is the entire reason this firm exists.
What we believe about tax-firm websites
Tax firms are not generic small businesses, and they should not be on generic small-business templates. The intake form needs to ask the right questions for the engagement type. The privacy posture needs to respect client confidentiality from the URL bar in. The portal handoff needs to feel like part of the firm, not a bolted-on afterthought. The site needs to load fast on a prospect's phone over LTE because most firm websites are first read in a parking lot or a waiting room.
A site built for a tax firm by someone who works inside one is structurally different from a site built for a tax firm by someone who has never filed a return. We are betting the firm on that being a meaningful difference.
What we do not do
We do not design logos. We do not run brand discovery workshops. We do not produce monthly retainers for content writing. We do not partner with vendors in a way that biases the recommendation. We do not take on engagements where the firm is looking for someone to blame later. For the things outside the Front Office scope, we maintain a referral list and will tell you who to talk to.
Roman Services Inc and R Tax Services
Roman Services Inc is the parent corporation. R Tax Services operates as a DBA underneath and is its own active tax practice. The two share infrastructure but run as separate service lines: tax preparation for individuals and small businesses on the R Tax side, web design (and later in 2026, workflow consulting) for tax and accounting firms on the Roman Services side.
Where we work
Remote across the United States. Most discovery, design, and configuration work happens on video calls and in shared docs. We can travel for an engagement when the scope warrants it.
